For more than 50 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving the local church: developing leaders, strengthening families, and helping folks discover God’s calling on their lives.
Here’s what I’ve learned along the way: leaders need someone to lead them, pastors need someone to pastor them, and every generation needs someone who believes in them. That’s what Jim Wideman Ministries is all about.

Ministry is one of the greatest callings in the world. But let’s be honest, it isn’t always easy.

Pastors get tired. Leaders get discouraged. Families face challenges. And sometimes life throws a curveball you never saw coming. When that happens, even the strongest leaders need someone who will listen, pray, encourage, and walk alongside them.

You don’t have to navigate hard seasons alone!

I just walked through the hardest season of my five decades in ministry. My family was wonderful, and a few long-distance friends checked on me. But I needed a pastor, and I didn’t have one.

Somewhere in that season, God put a new desire in my heart: to be a pastor to pastors and a friend to anyone who needs encouragement. I believe some of the most important ministry we’ll ever do is simply showing up when someone needs us most.
