Live To Serve Is A Wrap

, ,

After four cities, four conferences and four weekends together the Live To Serve Conferences are officially a wrap for 2015. This year’s conference centered around a new book by Sue Miller and Adam Duckworth entitled “NOT NORMAL” If you haven’t picked up your copy you should. (Go to www.whatisorange.org) Over the four weekends not only were hundreds of volunteers encouraged, challenged, and trained but some terrific friendships were made. I not only got to teach but I learned a ton through the conversations of those who attended as well as the others on our team. I already knew Amy, Sue, Matt and Kristi and love them dearly but getting to know Jenna, Brad, Angie, Louis and Adam was a huge blessing. I am so thankful for our LIVE TO SERVE family.

One of the things I loved is how each week we really tried to improve from the weekend before. The finish product was one of the best events for volunteers I’ve ever been a part of. To be honest I hated to see them come to an end. Next year I hope we can do at least seven or eight of these.

Next year if you get a chance to attend one of these events and bring your team, jump on it. Some of the comments I heard was “this is the best thing I ever brought my volunteers to.” I also heard “I wish I had brought more volunteers.”  The bottom line is that the investment you make in your team will bring huge results to the children and families you serve

I hope you’ll join us next year at LIVE TO SERVE!
